The members of the Hyderabad Gymkhana have elected Javed Iqbal Junejo as the President for yet another term in the elections 2013-14, according to the results announced on Monday.
Junejo secured 1,398 votes, beating his opponent, Dr Agha Taj Muhammad,
by 423 votes.
Haji Nisar Memon, a member of Muhammad’s group, was
elected as the honorary secretary with 1,237 votes and
Dr Shams Shaikh, from Junejo group, was elected as honorary treasurer with 1,252 votes.

The elections were held on Sunday.
A total of six candidates of two groups led by Junejo and Dr Agha
Taj Muhammad contested for the seats of the president, secretary and treasurer. Another 26 candidates vied for the 11 seats of members of the managing committee.
